You can finish each penguin pretty quickly. Generally takes one 20 to 30 minute class.
Supplies
Oven-Bake Clay (I love the Sculpey Soufle brand)
You can also choose air dry white and paint, or Model Magic pre-colored clay.
A Fun and Festive Art Project for K-5th Graders
Perfect to brighten your winter days, clay is a fantastic option for tactile learners.
What You’ll Make:
Clay penguins. In the sample, one is wearing a Santa Hat, and the other is carrying a heart-shaped letter. We thought the little one was bringing a letter to Santa, but you can choose any sort of hats, ear muffs, etc.
Notes on Clay
If you’re using oven-baked clay, ensure you follow the directions on your package to bake the clay. I don’t include instructions in the video as you’ll need to follow the directions for your clay.
Most clay gives you directions for timing based on thickness. I use a ruler and measure across the thickest part of my project.
